Ezekiel 48:33 Meaning and Commentary

Ver. 33 And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures,
&c.] The south side of the city measured just the same as the north and east sides did: and three gates;
were on that side, as on the others: one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun;
at which these tribes entered, or those they represent.

Ezekiel 48:33 In-Context

31 And the gates of the city shall be according to the names of the tribes of Israel: three gates northward; the gate of Reuben, one; the gate of Judah, another; the gate of Levi, another.
32 And at the east side four thousand five hundred reeds: and three gates; the gate of Joseph, one; the gate of Benjamin, another; the gate of Dan, another.
33 And at the south side four thousand five hundred reeds by measure: and three gates; the gate of Simeon, one; the gate of Issachar, another; the gate of Zebulun, another.
34 At the west side four thousand five hundred reeds, and their three gates; the gate of Gad, one; the gate of Asher, another; the gate of Naphtali, another.
35 It was round about eighteen thousand reeds: and the name of the city from that day shall be, THE LORD IS HERE.
