2Now I praiseyou, brethren, that ye rememberme in all things, andkeep the ordinances, aas I delivered them to you.3But I would haveyouknow , that the head of everymanisChrist;and the head of the woman is the man;and the head of Christ is God.4Everymanprayingorprophesying , having his headcovered,dishonourethhishead.5Buteverywoman that prayethorprophesieth with her headuncovereddishonourethherhead:for that iseven all one as if she were shaven .
6Forif the womanbenotcovered , let heralso be shorn : butif it be a shame for a woman to be shornorshaven , let her be covered .
7For a manindeedoughtnot to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the imageandglory of God:but the womanis the glory of the man.8For the manisnotof the woman;but the womanof the man.9Neitherwas the mancreatedfor the woman;but the womanfor the man.10
For thiscauseought the woman to havepowerbon her head because of the angels.11Neverthelessneither is the manwithout the woman, neither the womanwithout the man,in the Lord.12Foras the woman is of the man, even so is the manalsoby the woman;but all thingsofGod.13Judgeinyourselves : is itcomely that a womanpray unto Goduncovered?14Doth not evennatureitselfteachyou, that, ifaman have long hair , it is a shame unto him?15Butif a woman have long hair , it is a glory to her:for her hair is givenherfor a covering.c16But if any manseem to becontentious, wehavenosuchcustom, neither the churches of God.
