Now we beseechyou,brethren,by the coming of ourLordJesusChrist,and by our gathering togetheruntohim,[a]

Thatyebenotsoonshakeninmind,or be troubled, neitherbyspirit, norbyword, norbyletterasfromus,asthat the day of Christ is at hand.

Letnomandeceiveyoubyanymeans:for that day shall not come, except there come a falling awayfirst,and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Whoopposethandexalteth himself aboveall that is calledGod,or that is worshipped;so that heasGodsittethin the temple of God,shewinghimselfthat he isGod.

Remember yenot,that, when I wasyetwithyou, I toldyou these things?

Andnow ye know what withholdeth[b]thathe might be revealedinhistime.

For the mystery of iniquitydothalreadywork: only he who nowletteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

Andthenshall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of hismouth,and shall destroy with the brightness of hiscoming:

Even him, whosecomingisafter the working of Satanwithallpowerandsignsandlyingwonders,

Andwithalldeceivableness of unrighteousnessin them that perish; becausetheyreceivednot the love of the truth,thatthey might be saved.

And for thiscauseGod shall sendthemstrongdelusion,thatthey should believe a lie:

That they all might be damnedwhobelievednot the truth,but had pleasureinunrighteousness.
