7Andupon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to breakbread,Paulpreached unto them,ready to depart on the morrow;andcontinued his speechuntilmidnight.8And there weremanylightsin the upper chamber,where they were gathered together .
9And there satin a window a certain young mannamedEutychus, being fallen into a deepsleep: and as Paul was longpreaching , he sunk downwithsleep, and fell downfrom the third loft,and was taken updead.10AndPaul went down , and fell onhim,andembracing him said , Troublenotyourselves ; forhislifeisinhim.11Whenhe therefore was come up again , and had brokenbread,andeaten , andtalked a long while, even till break of day,so he departed .
12And they brought the young manalive , andwerenot a littlecomforted .
13Andwe went beforetoship, and saileduntoAssos,thereintending to take inPaul:forso had heappointed , mindinghimself to go afoot .
14Andwhen he met with usatAssos, we tookhimin , and cametoMitylene.15And we sailedthence, and came the next day over againstChios;and the next day we arrivedatSamos,andtarriedatTrogyllium; and the next day we cametoMiletus.16ForPaul had determined to sail byEphesus,becausehewouldnot spend the timeinAsia:for he hasted , if it werepossible for him, to beatJerusalem the day of Pentecost.17AndfromMiletus he senttoEphesus, and called the elders of the church.
