1Wherefore,holybrethren,partakers of the heavenlycalling,consider the Apostleand High Priest of ourprofession,ChristJesus;2
Who wasfaithful to him that appointedahim,asalsoMoses was faithful inallhishouse.3Forthis man was counted worthy of moreglorythanMoses, inasmuch ashe who hath builded the house hath morehonourthan the house.4Foreveryhouse is buildedbysome man; but he that built all things is God.5AndMosesverily was faithfulinallhishouse,as a servant,for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after ;
6ButChristas a sonover his ownhouse;whosehousearewe,ifwe hold fast the confidenceand the rejoicing of the hopefirmunto the end.7Wherefore (as the HolyGhostsaith , To dayif ye will hearhisvoice,8Hardennotyourhearts,asin the provocation,in the day of temptationin the wilderness:9Whenyourfatherstemptedme,provedme,andsawmyworksfortyyears.10Wherefore I was grieved with thatgeneration,andsaid , They doalwayerr in their heart;andtheyhavenotknownmyways.11So I swareinmywrath, They shallnotenterintomy rest.)

Take heed , brethren,lest there beinany of you an evilheart of unbelief,indepartingfrom the livingGod.13Butexhort one anotherdaily , whileit is called To day;lestanyofyou be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.14For we are madepartakers of Christ,ifwehold the beginning of our confidencestedfastunto the end;15While it is said , To dayif ye will hearhisvoice,hardennotyourhearts,asin the provocation.16Forsome, when they had heard , did provoke : howbeitnotall that came out ofEgyptbyMoses.17But with whom was he grievedfortyyears? was it not with them that had sinned , whosecarcasesfellin the wilderness?18And to whom sware he that they shouldnotenterintohisrest,but to them that believed not ?
19So we seethat they couldnot enter inbecause of unbelief.
