6Seeingtherefore it remaineth that some must entertherein , and they to whom it was firstpreachedenterednotinbecause of unbelief:7Again, he limiteth a certainday, sayinginDavid, To day, after so long a time;as it is said , To dayif ye will hearhisvoice,hardennotyourhearts.8ForifJesusa had giventhemrest , then would henotafterwardhavespokenofanotherday.9
There remaineththerefore a restb to the people of God.10For he that is enteredintohisrest, healso hath ceasedfrom his ownworks,asGod did fromhis.11
Let us labourtherefore to enterintothatrest, lest any manfallafter the sameexample of unbelief.c12For the word of God is quick , andpowerful, andsharperthananytwoedgedsword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soulandspirit, andof the jointsandmarrow, and is a discerner of the thoughtsandintents of the heart.13Neitheristhere any creature that is not manifest in hissight:but all things are nakedandopened unto the eyes of himwithwhom we have to do.14Seeingthen that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens,Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.15For we havenot an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of ourinfirmities;butwasin all pointstemptedlikeas we are, yet withoutsin.16
Let usthereforecomeboldlyunto the throne of grace, that we may obtainmercy, andfindgrace to helpin time of need.
