5Ifany of youlackwisdom, let him askofGod, that giveth to all men liberally,andupbraidethnot;and it shall be givenhim.6But let him askinfaith,nothingwavering . For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the windandtossed .
7Forletnotthatmanthinkthat he shall receive any thingof the Lord.8
A double mindedman is unstableinallhisways.9Let the brother of low degreerejoiceain that he is exalted:10But the rich,in that he is made low:becauseas the flower of the grass he shall pass away .
11For the sun is no sooner risenwith a burning heat,but it withereth the grass,and the flowerthereoffalleth , and the grace of the fashion of itperisheth : soalsoshall the rich man fade awayinhisways.12Blessed is the manthatendurethtemptation:for when he is tried , he shall receive the crown of life,which the Lord hath promised to them that lovehim.13Let no mansay when he is tempted , I am temptedofGod:forGod cannot be tempted with evil,bneithertemptethhe any man:14But every man is tempted , when he is drawn awayof his ownlust,andenticed .
15Then when lust hath conceived , it bringeth forthsin:andsin, when it is finished , bringeth forthdeath.
