28And when he had thusspoken , he wentbefore, ascending uptoJerusalem.29And it came to pass , when he was come nightoBethphageandBethany,at the mountcalled the mount of Olives, he senttwo of hisdisciples,30Saying , Go yeinto the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colttied , whereonyetnevermansat : loosehim, and bring him hither.31Andif any manaskyou,Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him,Because the Lordhathneed of him.32And they that were sent went their way , and found even as he had said unto them.33And as they were loosing the colt, the ownersthereofsaiduntothem,Why loose ye the colt?34And they said , The Lordhathneed of him.35And they broughthimtoJesus:and they casttheirgarmentsupon the colt,and they setJesusthereon .
36And as hewent , they spreadtheirclothesin the way.37
And when he was come nigh , evennowat the descent of the mount of Olives, the wholemultitude of the disciplesbegan to rejoice and praiseGod with a loudvoiceforall the mighty worksthat they had seen ;
38Saying , Blessed be the King that comethin the name of the Lord:peaceinheaven,andgloryin the highest.39Andsome of the Phariseesfrom among the multitudesaiduntohim,Master,rebukethydisciples.40And he answered and said unto them,I tellyouthat,ifthese should hold their peace , the stones would immediately cry out .41Andwhen he was come near , he beheld the city, and weptoverit,42Saying , Ifthou hadst known , eventhou, at leastinthisthyday, the things which belong untothypeace!butnow they are hidfromthineeyes.43For the days shall comeuponthee,thatthineenemies shall cast a trenchaboutthee,andcompasstheeround , andkeeptheein on every side,44And shall laythee even with the ground , andthychildrenwithinthee;and they shallnotleaveinthee one stoneuponanother;becausethouknewestnot the time of thyvisitation.
