1And he beganagain to teachby the sea side:and there was gathereduntohim a greatmultitude, so thatheenteredinto a ship, and satin the sea;and the wholemultitudewasby the seaon the land.2And he taughtthem many thingsbyparables, andsaid unto theminhisdoctrine,3Hearken ; Behold , there went out a sower to sow :4And it came to pass , as he sowed , somefellby the way side, and the fowls of the aircameanddevoureditup .5Andsomefellon stony ground, where it hadnotmuchearth;andimmediately it sprang up , because it hadnodepth of earth:6Butwhen the sun was up , it was scorched ; andbecause it hadnoroot, it withered away .7Andsomefellamongthorns,and the thorns grew up , andchokedit, and it yieldednofruit.8Andotherfellongoodground,and did yieldfruit that sprang upandincreased ; and brought forth , somethirty, andsomesixty, andsome an hundred.9And he said unto them,He that hathears to hear , let him hear .10Andwhen he wasalone, they that were abouthimwith the twelveasked of him the parable.11And he said unto them,Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God:but unto them that are without, all these things are doneinparables:12Thatseeing they may see , andnotperceive ; andhearing they may hear , andnotunderstand ; lest at any time they should be converted , and their sins should be forgiventhem.13And he said unto them,Know yenotthisparable?and how then will ye knowallparables?14The sowersoweth the word.15Andthese are theyby the way side, where the word is sown ; butwhen they have heard , Satancomethimmediately, and taketh away the word that was sownintheirhearts.16Andthese are theylikewise which are sownon stony ground;who, when they have heard the word,immediatelyreceiveitwithgladness;17Andhavenorootinthemselves,and so endure but for a time:afterward, when afflictionorpersecutionarisethfor the word's sake, immediately they are offended .a18Andtheseare they which aresownamongthorns; such ashear the word,19And the cares of thisworld, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lustsbof other things entering in , choke the word, and it becomethunfruitful.20Andtheseare they which are sownongoodground; such ashear the word, andreceive it, and bring forth fruit , somethirtyfold, somesixty, andsome an hundred.21And he said unto them,Is a candlebroughtto be putunder a bushel, corunder a bed? and notto be seton a candlestick?22For there isnothinghid , whichshallnot be manifested ; neither was any thing keptsecret, butthat it should comeabroad .23If any manhaveears to hear , let him hear .24And he said unto them,Take heedwhat ye hear : withwhatmeasure ye mete , it shall be measured to you:and unto you that hear shall more be given .25Forhethathath , to him shall be given : and he thathathnot, fromhim shall be takeneven that which he hath .26And he said , Sois the kingdom of God,asif a man should castseedinto the ground;27And should sleep , andrisenightandday, and the seed should springand grow up , heknowethnothow.28For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself;first the blade, then the ear, after that the fullcornin the ear.29Butwhen the fruit is brought forth , immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come .30And he said , Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God?orwithwhatcomparison shall we compareit?31It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sownin the earth, is less than all the seeds that bein the earth:32Butwhen it is sown , it groweth up , andbecometh greater thanallherbs, and shooteth outgreatbranches; so that the fowls of the airmaylodgeunder the shadow of it.33And with manysuchparables spake he the word unto them,as they were able to hear it.
34Butwithout a parablespake he not unto them:and when they were alone , he expounded all things to hisdisciples.35Andthesameday, when the even was come , he saith unto them,Let us pass overunto the other side.36And when they had sent away the multitude, they tookhim even as he wasin the ship. And there werealsowithhimother little ships.37And there arose a greatstorm of wind, and the wavesbeatinto the ship, so thatitwasnowfull .
38Andhewasin the hinder part of the ship,asleepon a pillow:and they awakehim,andsay unto him,Master,carestthounotthat we perish ?
39And he arose , and rebuked the wind, andsaid unto the sea,Peace , be still .And the windceased , and there was a greatcalm.40And he said unto them,Why are yesofearful? how is it that ye havenofaith?41And they fearedexceedingly , andsaidonetoanother,What manner of manisthis, thateven the windand the seaobeyhim?
