38And he comethto the house of the ruler of the synagogue,andseeth the tumult, and them that weptandwailedgreatly.39And when he was come in , he saith unto them,Why make ye this ado , andweep ? the damselisnotdead , butsleepeth .40And they laughedhim to scorn . But when he had put them allout , he taketh the fatherand the mother of the damsel,and them that were withhim,and entereth inwhere the damselwaslying .
41And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her,Talithacumi;whichis , being interpreted , Damsel, I say unto thee,arise .42Andstraightway the damselarose , andwalked ; for she was of the age of twelveyears.And they were astonished with a greatastonishment.43And he chargedthemstraitlythat no man should knowit;andcommanded that something should be givenher to eat .
