And it came to pass , that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.
And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying , What manner of child shall this be ! And the hand of the Lord was with him.
And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
And the child grew , and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.
And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child , his name was called JESUS, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,
And the child grew , and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.
They are like unto children sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying , We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced ; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept .
And Jesus, perceiving the thought of their heart, took a child, and set him by him,
And said unto them, Whosoever shall receive this child in my name receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me receiveth him that sent me: for he that is least among you all, the same shall be great.
And he from within shall answer and say , Trouble me not: the door is now shut , and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.
But Jesus called them unto him, and said , Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein .
