Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest : go thy way , sell whatsoever thou hast , and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come , take up the cross, and follow me.
And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing.
And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in , than all they which have cast into the treasury:
For it might have been sold for more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
For ye have the poor with you always, and whensoever ye will ye may do them good: but me ye have not always.
