God, who at sundry timesand in divers mannersspake in time past unto the fathersby the prophets,

Hathintheselastdaysspoken unto usby his Son,whom he hath appointedheir of all things,bywhomalso he made the worlds;

Whobeing the brightness of his glory,and the express image of hisperson,andupholding all things by the word of hispower, when he had*byhimselfpurged*oursins, sat downon the right hand of the Majestyonhigh;

Being made so much better than the angels,as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellentnamethanthey.

For unto which of the angels said he at any time,ThouartmySon, this dayhaveIbegottenthee?Andagain,I will betohim a Father,andhe shall betome a Son?

Andagain,[a]when he bringeth in the firstbegotteninto the world, he saith , Andletall the angels of Godworshiphim.

Andof[b]theangels he saith , Who makethhisangelsspirits,andhisministers a flame of fire.

Butunto the Son he saith, Thythrone, O God, is forever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness[c] is the sceptre of thykingdom.

Thou hast lovedrighteousness,andhatediniquity;therefore*God, even thyGod, hath anointedthee with the oil of gladnessabovethyfellows.

And,Thou,Lord,in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth;and the heavensare the works of thinehands:

They shall perish ; butthouremainest ; and they all shall wax oldas doth a garment;
12
Andas a vesture shalt thou foldthemup , and they shall be changed : butthouart the same,andthyyearsshallnotfail .

Buttowhich of the angels said he at any time,Sitonmy right hand,untilImakethineenemiesthyfootstool*?

Are theynotallministeringspirits, sent forthtoministerfor them who shall be heirs ofsalvation?
