Lamentations 2:2-12 NIV

2 Without pity1 the Lord has swallowed2 up all the dwellings of Jacob; in his wrath he has torn down the strongholds3 of the Daughter of Judah. He has brought her kingdom and its princes down to the ground4 in dishonor.

              9 Her gates28 have sunk into the ground; their bars29 he has broken and destroyed. Her king and her princes are exiled30 among the nations, the law31 is no more, and her prophets32 no longer find visions33 from the LORD.
