1 Corinthians 6:15

15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Therefore, shall I take away the members of Christ [and] make [them] members of a prostitute? May it never be!

1 Corinthians 6:15 Meaning and Commentary

1 Corinthians 6:15

Know ye not that your bodies are the members, of Christ,
&c.] The whole persons of God's elect were chosen in Christ, and given to him, and made one with him, their bodies as well as their souls; and both are redeemed by him, and, in union with him, are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones:

shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members
of an harlot? God forbid.
Signifying, that it is a most absurd, indecent, abominable, and detestable thing, that the bodies of the saints, which are the members of Christ, should be joined in carnal copulation with an harlot.

1 Corinthians 6:15 In-Context

13 Food [is] for the stomach, and the stomach for food, but God will abolish {both of them}. Now the body [is] not for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
14 And God both raised up the Lord and will raise us up by his power.
15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Therefore, shall I take away the members of Christ [and] make [them] members of a prostitute? May it never be!
16 Or do you not know that the one who joins himself to a prostitute is one body [with her]? For it says, "The two will become one flesh."
17 But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit [with him].
