1
And when I came to you, brethren, I 1did not come with superiority of speechor of wisdom, proclaiming to you 2the atestimony of God.
2
For I determined to knownothingamong you except3JesusChrist, and Him crucified.
3
I was with you in 4weakness and in 5fear and in muchtrembling,
4
and my bmessage and my preaching were 6not in persuasivewords of wisdom, but in demonstration of 7the Spirit and of power,
5so that your faith would not crest on the wisdom of men, but on 8the power of God.
6Yet we do speakwisdomamongthose who are 9mature ; a wisdom, however, not of 10thisagenor of the rulers of 11thisage, who are 12passingaway ;
7
but we speakGod'swisdom in a 13mystery, the hidden wisdom whichGod14predestinedbefore the 15ages to our glory ;
8
the wisdom 16whichnone of the rulers of 17thisage has understood ; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified18the Lord of glory ;
9
but just as it is written, "19THINGS WHICHEYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."
