131Judgeafor yourselves : is it proper for a woman to pray to God with her head uncovered?
Does not evennatureitselfteach you that if a manhaslonghair, it is a dishonor to him,
but if a womanhaslonghair, it is a glory to her? For her hair is given to her for a covering.
But ifone is inclined to be contentious, 2we havenobotherpractice, nor have 3the churches of God.
But in givingthisinstruction, 4I do not praise you, because you cometogether not for the better but for the worse.
For, in the first place, when you cometogethercas a church, I hear that d5divisionsexistamong you; and in part I believe it.
For there 6mustalso be factionsamong you, 7so that those who are approved may becomeeevidentamong you.
20Therefore when you meettogether , it is not to eat the Lord'sSupper,
for in your eatingeachonetakes his ownsupperfirst; and one is hungry and 8another is drunk.
22What! Do you not havehouses in which to eat and drink? Or do you despise the 9church of God and 10shamethose who havenothing? What shall I say to you? Shall 11I praise you? In this I will not praise you.
