1If I speak with the 1tongues of men and of 2angels, but do not havelove, I have become a noisygongor a 3clangingcymbal.
2If I have the gift of 4prophecy, and knowall5mysteries and all6knowledge ; and if I have7allfaith, so as to 8removemountains, but do not havelove, I amnothing.

And if I 9giveall my possessions to feed the poor, and if I 10surrender my bodyato be burned, but do not havelove, it profits me nothing.
4Love11is patient, love is kind and 12is not jealous ; love does not brag and is not 13arrogant,

does not actunbecomingly ; it 14does not seek its own, is not provoked, 15does not take into account a wrong suffered,
616does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but 17rejoices with the truth ;
7b18bearsallthings, believesallthings, hopesallthings, enduresallthings.
8Loveneverfails ; but if there are gifts of c19prophecy, they will be doneaway ; if there are 20tongues, they will cease ; if there is knowledge, it will be doneaway.

For we 21know in part and we prophesy in part ;

but when the perfectcomes, the partial will be doneaway.
11When I was a child, I used to speaklike a child, thinklike a child, reasonlike a child ; when I dbecame a man, I didaway with childish things.

For now we 22see in a mirroredimly, but then23face to face ; now I know in part, but then I will knowfullyjust as I also24have been fullyknown.

But nowfaith, hope, love, abidethesethree ; but the fgreatest of these is 25love.
