1So let noonedespise him. But 2send him on his way3in peace, so that he may come to me; for I expect him with the brethren.

But concerning4Apollos our brother, I encouraged him greatly to come to you with the brethren; and it was not at all his desire to comenow, but he will comewhen he has opportunity.

5Be on the alert, 6standfirm in the faith, 7actlikemen, 8be strong.

Now I urge you, brethren (you know the 10household of Stephanas, that they were the 11firstfruits of 12Achaia, and that they have devotedthemselves for 13ministry to 14the saints ),

that 15you also be in subjection to suchmen and to everyone who helps in the work and labors.

I rejoiceover the 16coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have supplied17what was lacking on your part.

For they 18have refreshed my spirit and yours. Therefore19acknowledgesuchmen.
