For the word of the cross is 1foolishness to 2those who aare perishing, but to us who bare being saved it is 3the power of God.
For it is written, "4I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SETASIDE."
205Where is the wiseman? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of 6thisage? Has not God7madefoolish the wisdom of 8the world?
For since in the wisdom of God9the worldthrough its wisdom did not come to knowGod, 10God was well-pleasedthrough the 11foolishness of the cmessagepreached to 12savethose who believe.
For indeed13Jewsask for dsigns and Greekssearch for wisdom;
but we preache14Christcrucified, 15to Jews a stumblingblock and to Gentiles16foolishness,
but to those who are 17the called, bothJews and Greeks, Christ18the power of God and 19the wisdom of God.
25Because the 20foolishness of God is wiser than men, and 21the weakness of God is stronger than men.
