and my amessage and my preaching were 1not in persuasivewords of wisdom, but in demonstration of 2the Spirit and of power,
5so that your faith would not brest on the wisdom of men, but on 3the power of God.
6Yet we do speakwisdomamongthose who are 4mature ; a wisdom, however, not of 5thisagenor of the rulers of 6thisage, who are 7passingaway ;
but we speakGod'swisdom in a 8mystery, the hidden wisdom whichGod9predestinedbefore the 10ages to our glory ;
the wisdom 11whichnone of the rulers of 12thisage has understood ; for if they had understood it they would not have crucified13the Lord of glory ;
but just as it is written, "14THINGS WHICHEYE HAS NOT SEEN AND EAR HAS NOT HEARD, AND which HAVE NOT ENTERED THE HEART OF MAN, ALL THAT GOD HAS PREPARED FOR THOSE WHO LOVE HIM."
10c15For to us Godrevealed them 16through the Spirit ; for the Spiritsearchesallthings, even the 17depths of God.
For who among menknows the thoughts of a manexcept the 18spirit of the man which is in him? Evenso the thoughts of Godnooneknowsexcept the Spirit of God.
12Now we 19have received, not the spirit of 20the world, but the Spiritwho is from God, so that we may know the thingsfreelygiven to us by God,
13which things we alsospeak, 21not in wordstaught by humanwisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, dcombiningspiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
But ea 22naturalman23does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are 24foolishness to him; and he cannotunderstand them, because they are spirituallyfappraised.
