1 Peter 3:15-17 (New American Standard)

15 but asanctify 1Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready 2to make a bdefense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the 3hope that is in you, yet 4with gentleness and c5reverence ; 16 dand keep a 6good conscience so that in the thing in which 7you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame. 17 For 8it is better, 9if eGod should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.
