If you 1address as Father the One who 2impartially 3judges according to each one's work, conduct yourselves 4in fear during the time of your 5stay on earth;

knowing that you were not a6redeemed with perishable things like silver or gold from your 7futile way of life inherited from your forefathers,

but with precious 8blood, as of a 9lamb unblemished and spotless, the blood of Christ.

For He was 10foreknown before 11the foundation of the world, but has 12appeared bin these last times 13for the sake of you

who through Him are 14believers in God, who raised Him from the dead and 15gave Him glory, so that your faith and 16hope are in God.
