20 Then KingHezekiaharoseearly and assembled the princes of the city and went up to the house of the LORD.
21
They broughtsevenbulls, sevenrams, sevenlambs and sevenmalegoats1for a sinoffering for the kingdom, the sanctuary, and Judah. And he ordered the priests, the sons of Aaron, to offer them on the altar of the LORD.
22
So they slaughtered the bulls, and the prieststook the blood and sprinkled it on the altar. They also slaughtered the rams and sprinkled the blood on the altar; they slaughtered the lambs also and 2sprinkled the blood on the altar.
23
Then they brought the malegoats of the sinofferingbefore the king and the assembly, and 3they laid their hands on them.
24
The priestsslaughtered them and purged the altar with their blood4to atone for allIsrael, for the kingordered the burntoffering and the sinoffering for allIsrael.
25
5He then stationed the Levites in the house of the LORD with cymbals, with harps and with lyres, 6according to the command of David and of 7Gad the king'sseer, and of 8Nathan the prophet; for the command was from the LORDthrough His prophets.
26
The Levitesstood with 9the musical instruments of David, and 10the priests with the trumpets.
27
Then Hezekiahgave the order to offer the burntoffering on the altar. When the burntofferingbegan, 11the song to the LORD also began with the trumpets, accompanied by the instruments of David, king of Israel.
28
While the wholeassemblyworshiped, the singers also sang and the trumpetssounded; all this continued until the burntoffering was finished.
29
Now at the completion of the burntofferings, 12the king and all who were present with him boweddown and worshiped.
30
Moreover, KingHezekiah and the officialsordered the Levites to singpraises to the LORD with the words of David and Asaph the seer. 13So they sangpraises with joy, and boweddown and worshiped.
31
Then Hezekiahsaid, "14Now that you have consecrated*yourselves to the LORD, comenear and bringsacrifices and thankofferings to the house of the LORD." And the assemblybroughtsacrifices and thankofferings, and 15all those who were willing brought burntofferings.
32
The number of the burntofferingswhich the assemblybrought was 70bulls, 100rams, and 200lambs; allthese were for a burntoffering to the LORD.
33
The consecratedthings were 600*bulls and 3,000*sheep.
34
But the priests were too few, so that they were unable* to skinall the burntofferings; 16therefore their brothers the Leviteshelped them until the work was completed and until the other priests had consecrated themselves. For 17the Levites were moreconscientious* to consecrate themselves than the priests.
35
There were also18manyburntofferings with 19the fat of the peaceofferings and with 20the libations for the burntofferings. Thus the service of the house of the LORD was established again.
36
Then Hezekiah and all the peoplerejoicedover what God had prepared for the people, because the thingcame about suddenly.
