so that no advantage would be taken of us by 1Satan, for 2we are not ignorant of his schemes.

Now when I came to 3Troas for the 4gospel of Christ and when a 5door was opened for me in the Lord,

I 6had no rest for my spirit, not finding 7Titus my brother ; but 8taking my leave of them, I went on to 9Macedonia.

10But thanks be to God, who always 11leads us in triumph in Christ, and manifests through us the 12sweet aroma of the 13knowledge of Him in every place.

For we are a 14fragrance of Christ to God among 15those who are being saved and among those who are perishing ;
16
16to the one an aroma from death to death, to the other an aroma from life to life. And who is 17adequate for these things ?

For we are not like many, a18peddling the word of God, but 19as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ 20in the sight of God.
