11Therefore, knowing the 1fear of the Lord, we persuademen, but we are mademanifest to God; and I hope that we are 2mademanifestalso in your consciences.
We are not 3againcommendingourselves to you but are giving you an 4occasion to be proud of us, so that you will have an answer for those who takepride in appearance and not in heart.
For if we aare 5besideourselves, it is for God; if we are of soundmind, it is for you.
For the love of Christ6controls us, having concludedthis, that 7onedied for all, thereforealldied;
and He died for all, so that they who live might nolonger8live for themselves, but for Him who died and roseagain on their behalf.
16Therefore from now on we recognizenooneb9according to the flesh; eventhough we have knownChristcaccording to the flesh, yetnow we know Him in this way nolonger.
17Thereforeifanyone is 10in Christ, dhe is 11a newcreature; 12the oldthingspassedaway; behold, newthings have come.
18Now13all these things are from God, 14whoreconciled us to HimselfthroughChrist and gave us the 15ministry of reconciliation,
19namely, that 16God was in Christreconciling the world to Himself, 17not counting their trespasses against them, and eHe has fcommitted to us the word of reconciliation.
20Therefore, we are 18ambassadors for Christ, 19as thoughGod were making an appealthrough us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be 20reconciled to God.
He made Him who 21knewnosin to be 22sin on our behalf, so that we might become the 23righteousness of God in Him.
