For 1it is superfluous for me to write to you aboutthis2ministry to the asaints;
for I know your readiness, of which I 3boastabout you to the 4Macedonians, namely, that 5Achaia has been preparedsince6lastyear, and your zeal has stirred up most of them.
But I have sent the brethren, in order that our 7boastingabout you may not be madeempty in thiscase, so that, 8as I was saying, you may be prepared;
4otherwiseif any 9Macedonianscome with me and find you unprepared, we-not to speak of you-will be put to shame by thisconfidence.
5So I thought it necessary to urge the 10brethren that they would go on ahead to you and arrangebeforehand your previouslypromisedb11bountifulgift, so that the same would be ready as a c12bountifulgift and not d13affected by covetousness.
6Nowthis I say, 14he who sowssparingly will alsoreapsparingly, and he who sowsebountifully will alsoreapfbountifully.
7Eachone must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not 15grudginglyorundercompulsion, for 16Godloves a cheerfulgiver.
And 17God is able to makeallgraceabound to you, so that alwayshavingallsufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for everygooddeed;
as it is written, "18HE SCATTERED ABROAD, HE GAVE TO THE POOR, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESSgENDURESFOREVER."
10Now He who supplies19seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and 20increase the harvest of your righteousness;
