Therefore, 1I will always be ready to remind you of these things, even though you already know them, and have been established in 2the truth which is present with you.

I consider it 3right, as long as I am in 4this earthly dwelling, to 5stir you up by way of reminder,
14
knowing that 6the laying aside of my earthly dwelling is imminent, 7as also our Lord Jesus Christ has made clear to me.

And I will also be diligent that at any time after my 8departure you will be able to call these things to mind.
Eyewitnesses
16 For we did not follow cleverly devised 9tales when we made known to you the 10power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were 11eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an a12utterance as this was bmade to Him by the 13Majestic Glory, "This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased "- 18 and we ourselves heard this cutterance made from heaven when we were with Him on the 14holy mountain. 19 dSo we have 15the prophetic word made more 16sure, to which you do well to pay attention as to 17a lamp shining in a dark place, until the 18day dawns and the 19morning star arises 20in your hearts. 20 But 21know this first of all, that 22no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation, 21 for 23no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men 24moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.New American Standard Bible Copyright © 1960, 1962, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1975, 1977, 1995 by The Lockman Foundation, La Habra, California.
