3seeing that His 3divinepower has granted to us everythingpertaining to life and godliness, through the true4knowledge of Him who 5called us aby His ownglory and bexcellence.
4cFor by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent6promises, so that by them you may become7partakers of the divinenature, having 8escaped the 9corruption that is in 10the world by lust.
5Now for thisvery reason also, applyingalldiligence, in your faith11supply12moraldexcellence, and in your moralexcellence, 13knowledge,
and in your knowledge, 14self-control, and in your self-control, 15perseverance, and in your perseverance, 16godliness,
and in your godliness, 17brotherlykindness, and in your brotherlykindness, love.
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they render you neitheruselessnor18unfruitful in the true19knowledge of our LordJesusChrist.
For he wholacksthese qualities is 20blind or short-sighted, having forgotten his 21purification from his formersins.
10Therefore, brethren, be all the morediligent to makecertain about His 22calling and 23choosing you; for as long as you practicethesethings, you will never24stumble;
for in thisway the entrance into 25the eternalkingdom of our 26Lord and SaviorJesusChrist will be 27abundantly28supplied to you.
12Therefore, 29I will always be ready to remind you of thesethings, eventhough you already know them, and have been established in 30the truth which is present with you.
