and if He 1rescuedrighteousLot, oppressed by the 2sensualconduct of 3unprincipledmen8
(for by what he saw and heard that 4righteousman, while livingamong them, felt his righteoussoultormenteddayafterday by their lawlessdeeds ),
95then the Lordknowshow to rescue the godly from atemptation, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the 6day of judgment,
and especiallythose who b7indulge the flesh in its corruptdesires and 8despiseauthority. Daring, 9self-willed, they do not tremble when they 10revile angelic cmajesties,
1111whereasangels who are greater in might and power do not bring a revilingjudgmentagainst them before the Lord.
But 12these, likeunreasoninganimals, 13born as creatures of instinct to be captured and killed, revilingwhere they havenoknowledge, will in dthe destruction of those creatures also be destroyed,
suffering wrong as 14the wages of doingwrong. They count it a pleasure to 15revel in the 16daytime. They are stains and blemishes, 17reveling in their edeceptions, as they 18carouse with you,
14havingeyesfull of adultery that nevercease from sin, 19enticing20unstablesouls, having a hearttrained in 21greed, 22accursedchildren;
15forsaking23the rightway, they have goneastray, having followed24the way of Balaam, the son of Beor, wholoved25the wages of unrighteousness;
but he received a rebuke for his owntransgression, 26for a mutedonkey, speaking with a voice of a man, restrained the madness of the prophet.
17These are 27springswithoutwater and mistsdriven by a storm, 28for whom the fblackdarkness has been reserved.
