and to give relief to you who are afflicted aand to us as well b1when the Lord Jesus will be revealed 2from heaven 3with cHis mighty angels 4in flaming fire,

dealing out retribution to those who 5do not know God and to those who 6do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

These will pay the penalty of 7eternal destruction, 8away from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
