8nor did we 1eataanyone'sbreadbwithoutpaying for it, but with 2labor and hardship we kept 3workingnight and dayso that we would not be a burden to any of you;
9
not because we do not have4the right to this, but in order to offerourselves5as a model for you, so that you would cfollow our example.
10
For even6when we were with you, we used to give you thisorder : 7ifanyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either.
11
For we hear that someamong you are 8leading an undisciplinedlife, doingnowork at all, but actinglike9busybodies.
12Nowsuchpersons we command and 10exhort in the LordJesusChrist to 11work in quietfashion and eat their ownbread.
13
But as for you, 12brethren, 13do not growweary of doinggood.
14Ifanyone does not obey our dinstructione14in thisletter, takespecialnote of that personf15and do not associate with him, so that he will be 16put to shame.
15
Yet 17do not regard him as an enemy, but g18admonish him as a 19brother.
16Now20may the Lord of peace21Himselfcontinuallygrant you peace in everyhcircumstance. 22The Lord be with you all !
17iI, Paul, write thisgreeting23with my ownhand, and this is a distinguishingmark in everyletter ; this is the way I write.
1824The grace of our LordJesusChrist be with you all.
