20Now in a largehouse there are not onlygold and silvervessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and 8some to honor and some to dishonor.
21Therefore, ifanyonecleanseshimself from 9these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, 10prepared for everygoodwork.
22Now11flee from youthfullusts and pursuerighteousness, 12faith, love and peace, with those who 13call on the Lord14from a pureheart.

2417The Lord'sbond-servantmust not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, 18able to teach, patientwhenwronged,
2519with gentlenesscorrectingthose who are in opposition, 20ifperhapsGod may grant them repentanceleading to 21the knowledge of the truth,
and they may come to their senses and escape from 22the snare of the devil, having been 23heldcaptivedby him to do his will.
