6So when they had cometogether, they were asking Him, saying, "Lord, 1is it at thistime You are restoring the kingdom to Israel?"
He said to them, "It is not for you to knowtimesorepochswhich2the Father has fixed by His ownauthority;8but you will receivepower3when the HolySpirit has come upon you; and you shall be 4My witnessesboth in Jerusalem, and in allJudea and 5Samaria, and even to 6the remotestpart of the earth."
And after He had saidthesethings, 7He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloudreceived Him out of their sight.
And as they were gazingintently into athe sky while He was going, behold, 8twomen in whiteclothingstoodbeside them.
They alsosaid, "9Men of Galilee, why do you standlooking into bthe sky? ThisJesus, who 10has been taken up from you into heaven, will 11come in just the sameway as you have watched Him go into heaven."
12Then they 12returned to Jerusalem from the c13mountcalleddOlivet, which is nearJerusalem, a eSabbath day's journey away.
13When they had entered the city, they went up to 14the upperroomwhere they were staying; 15that is, Peter and John and fJames and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, gJames the son of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and 16Judas the hson of iJames.
14Theseall with onemind17were continuallydevotingthemselves to prayer, along with 18the women, and Mary the 19mother of Jesus, and with His 20brothers.
15jAt thistimePeterstood up in the midst of 21the brethren (a gathering of aboutonehundred and twentykpersons was there together ), and said,
16"Brethren , 22the Scripturehad to be fulfilled, which the HolySpiritforetold by the mouth of DavidconcerningJudas, 23who became a guide to those who arrestedJesus.
