And he began to give them his attention, expecting to receivesomething from them.

But Petersaid, "I do not possesssilver and gold, but what I do have I give to you: 1In the name of JesusChrist the Nazarene-walk!"

And seizing him by the righthand, he raised him up; and immediately his feet and his ankles were strengthened.

2With a leap he stoodupright and began to walk; and he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praisingGod.

And 3all the peoplesaw him walking and praisingGod;

and they were takingnote of him as being the one who used to 4sit at the BeautifulGate of the temple to beg alms, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

11 While he was clinging to 5Peter and John, all the peoplerantogether to them at the so-called6portico of Solomon, full of amazement.

But when Petersaw this, he replied to the people, "Men of Israel, why are you amazed at this, orwhy do you gaze at us, as if by our ownpowerorpiety we had made him walk?

"7The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, 8the God of our fathers, has glorified His 9servantJesus, the one whom10you delivered and disowned in the presence of 11Pilate, when he had 12decided to release Him.

"But you disowned13the Holy and RighteousOne and 14asked for a murderer to be granted to you,
15
but put to death the 15Prince of life, the one whom16Godraised from the dead, a fact to which we are 17witnesses.
