Colossians 1:15-18 (New American Standard)

15 aHe is the 1image of the 2invisible God, the 3firstborn of all creation. 16 For b4by Him all things were created, 5both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether 6thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities -7all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He c8is before all things, and in Him all things dhold together. 18 He is also 9head of 10the body, the church ; and He is 11the beginning, 12the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.
