Colossians 2:20-23 (New American Standard)

20 1If you have died with Christ ato the 2elementary principles of the world, 3why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to 4decrees, such as, 21 "Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch !" 22 (which all refer 5to things destined to perish bwith use )-in accordance with the 6commandments and teachings of men ? 23 These are matters which have, to be sure, the cappearance of wisdom in d7self-made religion and self-abasement and 8severe treatment of the body, but are of no value against 9fleshly indulgence.
