The Incomparable Christ
13[i]For He rescued us from the [j]9domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of [k]10His belovedSon,

11in whom we haveredemption, the forgiveness of sins.

[l]He is the 12image of the 13invisibleGod, the 14firstborn of allcreation.

For [m]15by Him allthings were created, 16both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether17thronesordominionsorrulersorauthorities -18allthings have been createdthrough Him and for Him.

He [n]19is beforeallthings, and in Him allthings[o]holdtogether.

He is also20head of 21the body, the church; and He is 22the beginning, 23the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to havefirstplace in everything.

For [p]it was 24the Father's goodpleasure for all25the [q]fullness to dwell in Him,

and through Him to 26reconcileallthings to Himself, having made27peacethrough28the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, 29whether things on earthor things in [r]heaven.
