13[a]For He rescued us from the [b]1domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of [c]2His belovedSon,
14
3in whom we haveredemption, the forgiveness of sins.
15
[d]He is the 4image of the 5invisibleGod, the 6firstborn of allcreation.
16
For [e]7by Him allthings were created, 8both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether9thronesordominionsorrulersorauthorities -10allthings have been createdthrough Him and for Him.
17
He [f]11is beforeallthings, and in Him allthings[g]holdtogether.
18
He is also12head of 13the body, the church; and He is 14the beginning, 15the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to havefirstplace in everything.
19
For [h]it was 16the Father's goodpleasure for all17the [i]fullness to dwell in Him,
20
and through Him to 18reconcileallthings to Himself, having made19peacethrough20the blood of His cross; through Him, I say, 21whether things on earthor things in [j]heaven.
21
And although you were 22formerlyalienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evildeeds,
22
yet He has now23reconciled you in His fleshly24bodythroughdeath, in order to 25present you before Him 26holy and blameless and beyondreproach -
23
ifindeed you continue in [k]the faithfirmly27established and steadfast, and not movedaway from the 28hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed29in allcreationunderheaven, 30and of which I, Paul, [l]was made a [m]31minister.
