15aHe is the 1image of the 2invisibleGod, the 3firstborn of allcreation.
For b4by Him allthings were created, 5both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether6thronesordominionsorrulersorauthorities -7allthings have been createdthrough Him and for Him.
He c8is beforeallthings, and in Him allthingsdholdtogether.
He is also9head of 10the body, the church ; and He is 11the beginning, 12the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to havefirstplace in everything.
For eit was 13the Father's goodpleasure for all14the ffullness to dwell in Him,
and through Him to 15reconcileallthings to Himself, having made16peacethrough17the blood of His cross ; through Him, I say, 18whether things on earthor things in gheaven.
And although you were 19formerlyalienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evildeeds,
22yet He has now20reconciled you in His fleshly21bodythroughdeath, in order to 22present you before Him 23holy and blameless and beyondreproach -
23ifindeed you continue in hthe faithfirmly24established and steadfast, and not movedaway from the 25hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed26in allcreationunderheaven, 27and of which I, Paul, iwas made a j28minister.
2429Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh30I kdo my share on behalf of 31His body, which is the church, in filling up what is lackinglin Christ'safflictions.
2532Of this church I mwas made a ministeraccording to the 33stewardship from Godbestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might nfullycarry out the preaching of the word of God,
