5
For eventhough I am1absent in body, nevertheless I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your 2gooddiscipline and the 3stability of your faith in Christ.
6
Therefore as you have received4ChristJesus the Lord, so 5walk in Him,
7
having been firmly6rooted and now being 7built up in Him and 8established in your faith, just as you 9were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
8
10See to it that noonetakes you captivethrough11philosophy and emptydeception, according to the tradition of men, according to the 12elementaryprinciples of the world, ratherthan*according to Christ.
9
For in Him all the 13fullness of Deitydwells in bodilyform,
10
and in Him you have been14madecomplete, and 15He is the head over all16rule and authority;
11
and in Him 17you were alsocircumcised with a circumcisionmadewithouthands, in the removal of 18the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ;
12
having been 19buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also20raised up with Him throughfaith in the working of God, who 21raised Him from the dead.
13
When you were 22dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He 23made you alivetogether with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
14
having canceled out 24the certificate of debt consisting of decreesagainst us, which was hostile to us; and 25He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15
When He had 26disarmed the 27rulers and authorities, He 28made a publicdisplay of them, having 29triumphedover them through Him.
