6Therefore as you have received1ChristJesus the Lord, so a2walk in Him,
7
having been firmly3rooted and now being 4built up in Him and 5establishedbin your faith, just as you 6were instructed, and overflowingcwith gratitude.
87See to it that noonetakes you captivethrough8philosophy and emptydeception, according to the tradition of men, according to the 9elementaryprinciples of the world, dratherthanaccording to Christ.
9
For in Him all the 10fullness of Deitydwells in bodilyform,
10
and in Him you have been11madeecomplete, and 12He is the headfover all13rule and authority ;
11
and in Him 14you were alsocircumcised with a circumcisionmadewithouthands, in the removal of 15the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ ;
12
having been 16buried with Him in baptism, in which you were also17raised up with Him throughfaith in the working of God, who 18raised Him from the dead.
13
When you were 19deadgin your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He 20made you alivetogether with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions,
14
having canceled out 21the certificate of debt consisting of decreesagainst us, which was hostile to us; and 22He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
15
When He had h23disarmed the 24rulers and authorities, He 25made a publicdisplay of them, having 26triumphedover them throughiHim.
16Thereforenoone is to j27act as your judge in regard to 28foodor29drinkor in respect to a 30festivalor a 31newmoonor a 32Sabbathkday-
17
things which are 33a mere shadow of what is to come ; but the lsubstancembelongs to Christ.
18
Let noone keep n34defrauding you of your prize by 35delighting in oself-abasement and the worship of the angels, ptaking his stand on visions he has seen, q36inflatedwithoutcause by his 37fleshlymind,
19
and not holdingfast to 38the head, from whom39the entirebody, being supplied and heldtogether by the joints and rligaments, grows with a growthswhich is from God.
2040If you have died with Christtto the 41elementaryprinciples of the world, 42why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to 43decrees, such as,
21
"Do not handle, do not taste, do not touch !"
22
(whichall refer 44to things destined to perishuwith use )-in accordance with the 45commandments and teachings of men ?
23These are matterswhichhave, to be sure, the vappearance of wisdom in w46self-madereligion and self-abasement and 47severetreatment of the body, but are of novalueagainst48fleshlyindulgence.
