Colossians 3:11-21 (New American Standard)

View In My Bible
11 a renewal in which 1there is no distinction between Greek and Jew, 2circumcised and uncircumcised, a3barbarian, Scythian, 4slave and freeman, but 5Christ is all, and in all. 12 So, as those who have been 6chosen of God, holy and beloved, 7put on a 8heart of compassion, kindness, 9humility, gentleness and b10patience; 13 11bearing with one another, and 12forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; 13just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14 Beyond all these things put on love, which is c14the perfect bond of 15unity. 15 Let 16the peace of Christ drule in your hearts, to which eindeed you were called in 17one body; and fbe thankful. 16 Let 18the word of gChrist richly dwell within you, hwith all wisdom 19teaching and admonishing ione another 20with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, 21singing jwith thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 22Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, 23giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Family Relations

18 24Wives, 25be subject to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. 19 26Husbands, love your wives and do not be embittered against them. 20 27Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing kto the Lord. 21 28Fathers, do not exasperate your children, so that they will not lose heart.
