"Now at that time1Michael, the greatprince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a 2time of distress3such as neveroccurredsince there was a nationuntil that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is foundwritten in the 4book, will be rescued.
"5Many of those whosleep in the dust of the ground will awake, 6these to everlastinglife, but the others to disgrace and everlastingacontempt.
"bThose who have7insight will 8shinebrightly like the brightness of the cexpanse of heaven, and those who 9lead the many to righteousness, like the starsforever and ever.
"But as for you, Daniel, 10conceal these words and 11seal up the bookuntil the 12end of time; 13many will goback and forth, and knowledge will increase."
Then I, Daniel, looked and behold, twoothers were standing, one on thisbank of the river and the other on that bank of the river.
And 14one said to the man15dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "16Howlong will it be until the end of these wonders?"
I heard the mandressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, das he 17raised his righthand and his lefttowardheaven, and swore by 18Him wholivesforever that it would be for a e19time, ftimes, and half a gtime; and as soon as hthey finish20shattering the ipower of the holypeople, allthese events will be completed.
As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, "My lord, what will be the joutcome of these events?"
He said, "Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and 21sealed up until the endtime.
