11Now Moseswent up from the plains of Moab to MountNebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is oppositeJericho. And the LORD2showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan,
and allNaphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the a3westernsea,
and the bNegev and the plain in the valley of Jericho, 4the city of palmtrees, as far as Zoar.
Then the LORDsaid to him, "This is the landwhich5I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'I will give it to your cdescendants '; I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not gooverthere."
So Moses6the servant of the LORD7diedthere in the land of Moab, according to the dword of the LORD.
And He buried him in the valley in the land of Moab, 8oppositeBeth-peor; but 9nomanknows his burialplace to thisday.
Although Moses was 10one hundred and twentyyearsold when he died, 11his eye was not dim, nor his vigorabated.
So the sons of Israelwept for Moses in the plains of Moabthirtydays; then the days of weeping and mourning for Mosescame to an end.
Now Joshua the son of Nun was 12filled with the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; and the sons of Israellistened to him and did as the LORD had commandedMoses.
10Since that time13noprophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom14the LORDknewface to face,
for all the signs and wonderswhich the LORDsent him to perform in the land of Egypt against Pharaoh, all his servants, and all his land,
and for all the mightyepower and for all the greatterrorwhichMosesperformed in the sight of allIsrael.
