Ephesians 5:3-21 (New American Standard)

But 1immorality aor any impurity or greed must not even be named among you, as is proper among bsaints ;
4
and there must be no 2filthiness and silly talk, or coarse jesting, which 3are not fitting, but rather 4giving of thanks.
5
For this you know with certainty, that 5no cimmoral or impure person or covetous man, who is an idolater, has an inheritance in the kingdom 6of Christ and God.
6
7Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things 8the wrath of God comes upon 9the sons of disobedience.

Therefore do not be 10partakers with them;
8
for 11you were formerly 12darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord ; walk as 13children of Light
9
(for 14the fruit of the Light consists in all 15goodness and righteousness and truth ),
10
d16trying to learn what is pleasing to the Lord.
11
17Do not participate in the unfruitful 18deeds of 19darkness, but instead even e20expose them;
12
for it is disgraceful even to speak of the things which are done by them in secret.
13
But all things become visible 21when they are fexposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.
14
For this reason git says, "22Awake, sleeper, And arise from 23the dead, And Christ 24will shine on you."
15
Therefore hbe careful how you 25walk, not 26as unwise men but as wise,
16
i27making the most of your time, because 28the days are evil.
17
So then do not be foolish, but 29understand what the will of the Lord is.
18
And 30do not get drunk with wine, jfor that is 31dissipation, but be 32filled with the Spirit,
19
33speaking to kone another in 34psalms and 35hymns and spiritual 36songs, 37singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord ;
20
38always giving thanks for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to l39God, even the Father ;
21
m40and be subject to one another in the n41fear of Christ.
