And He 1gave2some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as 3evangelists, and some as pastors and 4teachers,
125for the equipping of the asaints for the work of service, to the building up of 6the body of Christ ;
13until we allattain to 7the unity of the faith, and of the b8knowledge of the Son of God, to a 9matureman, to the measure of the staturecwhich belongs to the 10fullness of Christ.
14dAs a result, we are 11nolonger to be children, 12tossedhere and there by waves and carriedabout by everywind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by 13craftinessein 14deceitfulscheming ;
but fspeaking the truth15in love, gwe are to 16grow up in all aspects into Him who is the 17head, even Christ,
from whom18the wholebody, being fitted and heldtogetherhby whateveryjointsupplies, according to the iproperworking of eachindividualpart, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself19in love.
1720Sothis I say, and affirmtogether with the Lord, 21that you walknolongerjust as the Gentilesalsowalk, in the 22futility of their mind,
18being23darkened in their understanding, j24excluded from the life of Godbecause of the 25ignorance that is in them, because of the 26hardness of their heart ;
and they, having 27becomecallous, 28have giventhemselvesover to 29sensualitykfor the practice of everykind of impurity with greediness.
But you did not 30learnlChrist in thisway,
21ifindeed you 31have heard Him and have 32been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
