171Sothis I say, and affirmtogether with the Lord, 2that you walknolongerjust as the Gentilesalsowalk, in the 3futility of their mind,
18being4darkened in their understanding, a5excluded from the life of Godbecause of the 6ignorance that is in them, because of the 7hardness of their heart ;
and they, having 8becomecallous, 9have giventhemselvesover to 10sensualitybfor the practice of everykind of impurity with greediness.
But you did not 11learncChrist in thisway,
21ifindeed you 12have heard Him and have 13been taught in Him, just as truth is in Jesus,
that, in reference to your formermanner of life, you 14layaside the 15olddself, which is being corrupted in accordance with the 16lusts of deceit,
and that you be 17renewed in the spirit of your mind,
and 18put on the 19neweself, which f20in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of the truth.
25Therefore, 21layingasidefalsehood, 22SPEAKTRUTHEACHONE of you WITH HIS NEIGHBOR, for we are 23members of oneanother.
2624BE ANGRY, AND yet DO NOT SIN ; do not let the sungodown on your anger,
and do not 25give the devilgan opportunity.
He who steals must stealnolonger ; but rather26he must labor, 27performing with his ownhandswhat is good, 28so that he will have something to share with hone who hasneed.
Let noi29unwholesomewordproceed from your mouth, but onlysuch a word as is good for 30edificationjaccording to the need of the moment, so that it will givegrace to those who hear.
3031Do not grieve the HolySpirit of God, kby whom you were 32sealed for the day of redemption.
3133Let allbitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be 34putaway from you, along with all35malice.
3236Be kind to oneanother, tender-hearted, forgivingeachother, 37just as God in Christalso has forgivenlyou.
