6oneGod and Father of all1who is overall and throughall and in all.
But 2to eachone of us 3grace was given4according to the measure of Christ'sgift.
8Thereforeait says, "5WHEN HE ASCENDED ON HIGH, HE 6LEDCAPTIVE A HOST OF CAPTIVES, AND HE GAVEGIFTS TO MEN."
(Nowthis expression, "He 7ascended," whatbdoes it meanexcept that He alsochad descended into 8the lowerparts of the earth?
He who descended is Himselfalso He who ascended9faraboveall the heavens, so that He might 10fillallthings.)
And He 11gave12some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as 13evangelists, and some as pastors and 14teachers,
1215for the equipping of the dsaints for the work of service, to the building up of 16the body of Christ;
13until we allattain to 17the unity of the faith, and of the e18knowledge of the Son of God, to a 19matureman, to the measure of the staturefwhich belongs to the 20fullness of Christ.
14gAs a result, we are 21nolonger to be children, 22tossedhere and there by waves and carriedabout by everywind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by 23craftinesshin 24deceitfulscheming;
but ispeaking the truth25in love, jwe are to 26grow up in all aspects into Him who is the 27head, even Christ,
from whom28the wholebody, being fitted and heldtogetherkby whateveryjointsupplies, according to the lproperworking of eachindividualpart, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself29in love.
