"1If a manseduces a virginwho is not engaged, and lies with her, he must pay a dowry for her to be his wife.
17"If her fatherabsolutelyrefuses to give her to him, he shall apaymoney equal to the 2dowry for virgins.
"You shall not allow a 3sorceress to live.
"4Whoeverlies with an animal shall surely be put to death.
"5He who sacrifices to bany god, otherthan to the LORDalone, shall be cutterlydestroyed.
"6You shall not wrong a stranger or oppress him, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.
"7You shall not afflictanywidow or orphan.
23"If you afflict him at all, and 8if he does cry out to Me, 9I will surelyhear his cry;
and My anger will be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, 10and your wives shall becomewidows and your childrenfatherless.
"11If you lendmoney to My people, to the poordamong you, you are not to eact as a creditor to him; you shall not fcharge him 12interest.
26"If you evertake your neighbor'scloak13as a pledge, you are to return it to him before the sunsets,
for that is his onlycovering; it is his cloak for his gbody. What else shall he sleep in? And it shall come about that 14when he cries out to Me, I will hear him, for 15I am gracious.
"You shall not h16curseGod, 17norcurse a ruler of your people.
"18You shall not delay the offering from iyour harvest and your vintage. 19The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me.
"20You shall do the same with your oxen and with your sheep. It shall be with its mothersevendays; 21on the eighthday you shall give it to Me.
"22You shall be holymen to Me, therefore 23you shall not eat any fleshtorn to pieces in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs.
